The Year is Here ~

Listen to Me ~

I sit back in amazement these days how fast this year has gone by ~

~ Only mother's who have lost a child carried in their womb will understand my feelings, feelings of pain, the waiting for him to walk through that door or call me to check in, he is not coming home. He was too young, the world lost a great boy who would of become a great man.

~ We are not taught to grieve, we must learn how, we all grieve with different intensity within different situations.

~For those who were not around last year, you may not be able to understand the bond between those who did; that experience of shock that day. The so called knee jerk reaction to gather together as a community to support one of their own was amazing.

~As Jonathan has left me to finish his journey here on earth, many of you know this has now become my mission to educate & spread the word so that if just one life is saved, these boys deaths shall not be in vain!

~I find it only fitting and respectful to celebrate lives lost, tragedy's suffered, sickness & health; and to be thankful we are here to support each other as one community of like in kind.

~I shall be lighting a candle in honor of my son as well as the other 5 Alumni from Stevenson High School, to honor & celebrate these lives lost so unnecessarily to dirty drugs.

Tag Your It a Game?

I am tired - it's raining and they want to play ~ ugg

Tagging is a blogger's game. You tag someone by leaving a comment on their blog and letting them know that they have been tagged. When you have been tagged you post several random, weird, or whatever facts about yourself. Then go tag seven other blogs. Post the URLs of the blogs you tagged. That's it!

talk to your kids ~ teach them young

I read this ~ I cried ~ so I just copied and pasted this ~ from the coroner's blog today ~

Went to a Party Mom

I went to a party,
And remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom,
so I had a sprite instead.

I felt proud of myself,
The way you said I would,
that I didn't drink and drive,
though some friends said I should.

I made a healthy choice,
And your advice to me was right.
The party finally ended,
and the kids drove out of sight.

I got into my car,
Sure to get home in one piece.
I never knew what was coming, Mom,
something I expected least.

Now I'm lying o n the pavement,
And I hear the policeman say,
the kid that caused this wreck was drunk, Mom, his voice seems far away.

My own blood's all around me,
As I try hard not to cry.
I can hear the paramedic say,
this girl is going to die.

I'm sure the guy had no idea,
While he was flying high.
Because he chose to drink and drive,
now I would have to die.

So why do people do it, Mom
Knowing that it ruins lives?
And now the pain is cutting me,
like a hundred stabbing knives.

Tell sister not to be afraid, Mom
Tell daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven,
put ' Mommy's Girl' on my grave.

Someone should have taught him,
That it's wrong to drink and drive.
Maybe if his parents had,
I'd still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter,
Mom I'm getting really scared
These are my final moments,
and I'm so unprepared.

I wish that you could hold me Mom,
As I lie here and die.
I wish that I could say, 'I love you, Mom!'
So I love you and good-bye.

The Clock of Life a poem dedicated to my friend~

Rest well my friend ~
I shall miss you very much~

The clock of life is wound but once,
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour.

To lose one's wealth is sad indeed,
To lose one's health is more,
To lose one's soul is such a loss
That no man can restore.

The present only is our own,
So Live, Love, toil with a will --
Place no faith in 'Tomorrow' --
For the clock may then be still.

4 my friend ~ She's coming tomorrow ~

~she won't read this
~she does not have time
~she knows how much she means to me
~she always shows up just in time
~she knows time is on my side

4 my friend ~ I dedicate this poem I found 2 you ~
A FRIEND FROM ABOVE....

I prayed for you before we met,
Not knowing who you'd be.
I asked the Lord to send a friend.
One chosen just for me.

I asked that they'd be Godly,
With wisdom of His ways.
A friend to help and guide me
I the troubles of these days.

So often in life, we need someone
To listen while we talk.
Someone who will not condemn or judge,
But encourage us as we walk.

The narrow road we choose to follow
May sometimes make us stumble.
But to have a friend to catch our fall,
Teaches us to be humble.

When I asked the Lord to send a friend,
Though many came and went.
He gave much more than I ever asked,
For you are the friend He sent.

With many tears, I love you. ma xoxo

Email from some Flounder ~ LOL

I'm glad to see that you've been working on beads/jewelry stuff again. Your stuff is fabulous as always... I always think it shows a piece of you -- kinda like when you look at a painting from a famous artist and wonder what was going through their mind. I look at your jewelry and beads and its almost like a glimpse into your life at that moment in time... Scary, huh?!!! LOL

But, really... you know what I mean. Your stuff has feeling behind it... not just the same thing cranked out over and over.

Email's like this make me well go torch and make more jewelry - Thanks (U) who wrote me this, and yes I know you will so smack me upside the head if you can ever find me.. LOL - for posting this ...

It way to early in the morning for me today.

I woke up with a splitting headache ~ the coffee is brewing ~ too much to think about but I really have to write in my some thoughts down in the blog I created for my son and all the family members who have lost a loved one. I'll be back later on today to hopefully post some pretties.
